Hey! So Glad You're Here.
If we haven't met, I'm Sarah, a born-and-raised Michigan girl. I'm a Grand Valley State University graduate, and I now work for GVSU as their social media specialist (Laker for a Lifetime, am I right?). I competed in the Miss America Organization for 10 years, I'm the proud mother of an herb garden that's mostly alive, and I am an AVID crochet enthusiast - so if you ever can't find me, I'm probably just in my room making a tote bag.
I started this blog to share the crazy life lessons that I've learned by competing in pageants (and also as a way to document these memories, because if there was an award for most forgetful 24 year-old, I think I'd win). It's become a far deeper and more meaningful way for me to process, document life, and explore. As I've grown, I realized that we've all got stories to tell, and blogging just seemed like the right way for me to tell mine.
One thing I've realized through blogging is that we're all in this- whatever 'this' may be- together. If you have a story you want to tell or you just want to chat, feel free to shoot me an email! You can also find me on ~*all*~ the social medias.
